The Colour Of Your Metal Bed
With all our metal beds, both from our antique and
bespoke ranges, you have an excellent choice of
colours from our own palette and an unlimited choice
of colours provided by you. If we are restoring
a bed for you or designing one to your tastes the
choice of colours is yours.
Choose
from our standard ranges, which include the robust
powder coat choice or our range of hand paint
finishes.
Powder coat cream or black is the favourite choice
of many because of their versatility in most bedroom
settings, their traditional look and the hard
wearing nature of the finish.
If you want a little more flair or impact in the
room with the bed colour then choose from our
hand paint finishes. These are expanding all the
time as we experiment with different effects.
The most striking and effective tend to be those
that have a depth of colour comprising many coats
with subtly different tones and complementary
shades, for example Blue Verdigris or Antique
Gold.
Choose Different
Brass Treatments
Most of our brass is highly polished before it
arrives in the showroom or delivered to your home.
In time, the lustre mellows to an aged look. Many
people prefer to keep that appearance,
or you can restore the sheen by treating the brass
every couple of months with an impregnated cleaning
compound.
An alternative treatment is to paint the brass
in the same colour as the bed.
Another option is to artificially hand age the
brass, which is particularly suitable for antique
cast iron beds.
